LinkScope: see where a link really goes before you open it

The problem

Links arrive in messages every day, and some lead somewhere other than they say. Once you open one, it is too late to check.

The plan I wrote

Paste a link, or share it from any app. LinkScope follows the redirect chain without opening the page, looks up where the address really points, checks HTTPS and the site's security headers, and flags risky link structure. It shows the evidence in plain words and leaves the decision to you.

The build

AI coding agents built it from my written specification. My work was the specification, the tests it had to pass, and the review.

The proof

Testing found two real bugs: some special characters in links were being doubled, and two unrelated sites under the same country ending (such as .co.uk) were treated as one. A test was written that failed on both; after the fix, all six test cases pass.

The final release was then checked on three real devices — an Infinix phone, a Galaxy Tab S3 and a Galaxy Z Flip4 — with a real two-step redirect, a link shared from another app, and a result that survived a restart.
